What if you could professionalize your position as an educational technology leader? Many educational and technology professionals have ascended to positions of influence in their K12 districts as the digital learning tide has risen. Yet a standard knowledge framework and title for technology leadership roles has been missing from our conversations. For the past several years, the Consortium for School Networking has been addressing this problem and has provided a template of the essential skills for k12 technology leaders. This workshop will provide an overview of the many roles a technology leader must play to be successful and help you learn about the Certified Educational Technology Leader (CETL) designation. This interactive workshop is for those who desire to get started leaning about the CoSN Essential Skills Framework and build basic knowledge to understand the benefits of a nationally portable credential for technology leaders.
